Bantry Bay – SOLD
£200.00
A similar approach to that employed with ‘Crowland Reach’ was used in the areas of the sky. The sea is a highly-textured blend of two colours – Payne’s Grey and Titanium White – with some of the sky’s light reflected at points across the surface of the waves the way light does. Cézanne talked about light as: ‘… not a thing that can be reproduced, but something that must be depicted using something else: colours.’
