Tilson Down – SOLD
I used a very limited palette for the textured surface of the hill, using the same colours to reflect the image in the sky. As with the painting, ‘Clew Bay’, I worked to communicate that sense of the link between the sky and the land forged by the way the light continuously carries the colours from one into the other. But this is not a static reflection. The light is in constant movement, shifted by the air, the vegetation and the clouds. Nothing’s still.
