The Camino de Santiago is a Medieval pilgrim route. Still followed today, it runs for almost 500 miles across northern Spain.

The idea for the title came to me in the course of the work. It emerged in the empty dryness of the hills and the dusty road. It was there in the power and movement of the sky. It seemed like a place for a pilgrimage.
