This is a result of my walks across the fields I am lucky enough to live near. I don’t work ‘on location’ – too cold. Rather, I think of myself as ‘storing’ the scenes I walk through – what I see, what I can hear, the sensations: that’s the story I try to tell in the work I make so that when you look at it, you might just recall the places you have been. On this walk you pass the Saxon church of St George’s. Inside there’s the burial place of Sir Hugh Halsham who fought at Agincourt with Henry V. This is an old walk.
